Seasonal Pricing

Charge what the market will bear.

A December school holiday tour and a mid-winter weekday tour are not worth the same price. Define custom date ranges and apply percentage adjustments or fixed price overrides that activate automatically.

1

Select Date Range

Pick a long weekend, school holiday block, or high season on the calendar.

2

Set Your Adjustment

Apply a percentage increase (e.g. +20% for peak) or set a specific price.

3

Let Zuru Handle It

The system automatically prioritises your seasonal rate over the base rate.

Time-Based Discounts

Never run a half-empty tour again.

Two of the most proven pricing strategies in the industry, now fully automated inside Zuru. You set the rules, Zuru handles the rest.

Last-Minute Flash Deals

When a tour departure is within 48 hours and seats remain unsold, Zuru automatically triggers a discount. Travellers see remaining seats labelled as a “Last Minute Deal”, creating urgency and driving conversions.

  • Define your trigger window (48h, 24h, etc.)
  • Set the discount percentage you’re comfortable with
  • Automatic “Last Minute Deal” labels on the marketplace

Early Bird Discounts

Reward travellers who plan ahead. Set rolling rules that automatically apply discounts for bookings made well in advance, giving you better visibility into upcoming capacity and cash flow.

  • e.g. “Book 60+ days out and save 15%”
  • Encourages early commitment from travellers
  • Better cash flow forecasting for your business

Group Discounts

Make larger bookings irresistible.

Group travel is one of the highest-value booking segments, yet it's often undersold because per-person pricing doesn't scale. With tiered group pricing, you automatically reduce the per-person rate as group size increases.

Traveller Experience

Transparency that builds trust.

Pricing rules only work if travellers understand and trust what they're seeing. Zuru's marketplace makes pricing clear, honest, and compelling.

  • "Prices Starting From..."

Search results display the lowest available price across the next 30 days, so travellers immediately know there's flexibility and value on offer.

  • Price Calendar View

Travellers browse a calendar that highlights value days versus peak days, empowering them to choose a date that fits their schedule and budget.

  • Strikethrough Pricing

When a discount is active, the marketplace displays the standard price alongside the discounted rate, making the saving immediately visible.

  • Scarcity Messaging

Real-time labels like "Only 2 spots left at the Early Bird price!" create urgency without any additional effort from you.

Bottom Line

The bottom line for tour operators and activity providers.

FAQs

Pricing rules questions.

How seasonal rates, time-based deals, and group tiers behave across your channels.

Still have questions? Talk to sales.

What happens when two pricing rules overlap?
Zuru resolves the conflict for you. A seasonal rate takes priority over your base rate, and time-based rules apply on top of whichever rate is active for that date, so travellers always see one clear price.
Do I have to update prices manually each season?
No. Define the date range and the adjustment once (a percentage increase or a fixed override), and the rate activates and expires on its own. There are no spreadsheets to maintain.
How do last-minute deals get triggered?
You set the trigger window (48 hours, 24 hours, whatever suits your operation) and the discount you're comfortable with. When a departure enters that window with unsold seats, Zuru applies the discount and labels the listing as a Last Minute Deal.
How does tiered group pricing work?
You define per-head rates by group size, for example standard up to four guests, 10% off from five, 20% off from eleven. The total recalculates in real time during checkout as travellers adjust their guest count.
Do pricing rules apply on the marketplace as well as my own booking page?
Yes. Rules follow the product across every channel (your booking page, the Zuru Marketplace, and direct inquiries), so you never have to keep two price lists in sync.
Will travellers see that they're getting a discount?
Yes, and that's the point. Discounted rates display with the standard price struck through, search results show a "prices starting from" figure, and scarcity labels like "Only 2 spots left at the Early Bird price" appear automatically.
Is this available on the free plan?
Pricing rules are built into the Zuru Operator App and free to start on Basic. You can create your first seasonal or early bird rule without entering a credit card.
